Siesta Cork Tile Co., Croydon, CR0 2DP is the main UK importer of Wicanders flooring products. We have been working with Wicanders for the past 40 years and are able to give professional advice on these cork products so you can select the correct type of floor for your home or office.

Cork, which is the regenerating bark of the Cork Oak tree, is not subject to FSC Control, because a tree is not cut down. Wicanders are regulated by FSC timbers for the MDF board used in their Floating Floors. All these floorings are made in Portugal so have a low carbon footprint compared to the Far Eastern products.

We carry a small range of Wicanders floors in UK, but our main business is to supply any products in Wicanders range by bringing it into the UK for you, from their stock in Portugal. Wicanders website also gives you full technical specification (including heat and sound insulation), warranties and maintenance details for each product. Then contact us for full advice, information and samples when you know the quantity (sq.metres) you need, we then check availability with the Portuguese factory. It is then available in UK within a week or two or whenever it is scheduled to become available, as we will advise you.

Wicanders cork floors have been developed over the years to provide the perfect match between beauty, comfort and the highest standards of durability.

There is the Floating Floor a glueless Corkloc system (10.5mm or 12mm thick depending on the finish), simply put the planks together and securely click them into place. Cork backed for extra sound insulation.

There are also the Glue Down cork tile ranges (3.2mm or 4mm thick depending on the finish), traditional floor tiles provide superior comfort and minimal step sound and hard wear.

You have two types of finishes on both floating and glue-down floors.

1. HPS (PVC) Surface Finish (High Performance Surface) has been developed for areas with heavy traffic such as commercial, business or general public areas. Ideal for busy kitchens, hallways etc.


2. Xtreme WRT (Varnish) Surface Finish (Wear Resistance Technology) is the right choice to fit most demanding needs of domestic areas. This environmental friendly varnish is based on a ceramic compound which ensures exceptional strength and longevity.
