PHONESTAR TRI ACOUSTIC INSULATION
PhoneStar TRI is a highly effective, versatile and award-winning sound insulation product suitable for use on walls, floors and ceilings, and is only 15mm thick. The CE-marked soundproofing board is made from natural and environmentally-friendly materials.
PhoneStar TRI exceeds Building Regulations for Sound in Ireland, when used as part of simple structures. It significantly reduces both airborne sound, such as television or talking noise between rooms, and impact sound, such as footstep noise and dragging furniture noise heard overhead. The board is dense, yet soft, thanks to a special filling of compacted quartz sand inside a fluted cardboard casing. These unique features make it highly effective for noise reduction.

NATURHELD and PAVATEX WOOD FIBRE THERMAL INSULATION
Naturheld and Pavatex Wood Fibre thermal insulation boards provide high thermal resistance in roofs, walls, suspended floors and attics in masonry and timber constructions.

These breathable, sustainable and natural wood fibre insulation boards allow water vapour and water droplets to transfer through them effectively so that it will evaporate away. This means that condensation, mould growth and humidity should not be a problem and the building will be healthier, drier and warmer. Breathability is critical when insulating traditional solid-walled buildings because the moisture must not become trapped.

Naturheld and Pavatex wood fibre’s high thermal mass means that they protect properties from extremes of temperature all year round. Summer solar gain heat is stored in the roof and walls during the day and is gradually released into the building during the night as it cools, which ensures a comfortable living environment. This is particularly important in lightweight structures e.g. timber frame buildings and attic conversions. In addition, airborne and impact sound insulation are enhanced in the building due to the high density of the insulation.

Applications
There are Naturheld and Pavatex wood fibre boards available for external wall insulation (EWI). These water resistant, but vapour-open, boards can be rendered or finished with ventilated cladding. EWI greatly reduces thermal bridging. Another option is to internally insulate the walls (IWI) and these Naturheld and Pavatex insulation boards can be directly plastered with lime plaster or can be finished with plasterboard.

Roof insulation is also possible where wood fibre roof sarking boards are placed above the rafters, and the rafters are infilled with flexible wood fibre. This system adds thermal mass to the roof and reduces thermal bridging through the rafters. We can also supply membranes and fixings.
