We didn’t feel at all that Adams Fletcher had our best interest at heart. Their QS, Ieuan Lavender, chosen by our ADW Nailsworth architects, were £500K over our budget, 6 months behind even the most pessimistic time schedule and inaccurate in the quantity cost survey (eg the cost of the roof was tens of thousands of pounds out)!
The project was not managed well at all, hardly any management involved by Ieuan, with massive inexcusable delays and overspending. His communication with us was sparse, only saw him couple of times throughout our project and had to keep chasing after him and the architects. Received numerous emails with the likes of “ Once again, apologies for the lateness of this issue of information”…
The tendering process was an agony, going on forever, and at the end, when we finally received it, we felt we have been funnelled and pressured for a building company we have already had a difficult experience from our previous project.
We found that with Adams Fletcher and ADW architects In Nailsworth, our forever after dream home project turned into our worst nightmare.
Completely waste of our time, money, energy and resources.
For the success of your build project we would advise you from our own hard experience to make sure you choose your QS carefully.
One that works hard for YOU and has YOUR back and YOUR interests at heart, is there for YOU and cooperate and manage YOUR project together with the architects with YOU in mind and listen well to all YOUR concerns.
We are very sorry to say we didn’t received this professional service we paid dearly for from Adams Fletcher & partners and wouldn’t recommend this firm.
