Got this firm out to look at a roof on some properties I rent out in Clitheroe after being told by another local roofer the roof was beyond repair as it wanted re slating and quoted me a ridiculous figure.
TBF Mr Lightfoots firm did a brilliant job and came back with a much more realistic quote and only charged me £600.
NOW THE BAD NEWS !!
As they had done such a brilliant job I asked Mr Lightfoot to quote for a problem with a leak I had on my Velux window on my retirement cottage in my grounds at home.
The quote came to £ 2628.00 which included materials and scaffolding etc. I thought mmmm theres something not quite right here ?? I hope he isnt trying to rip off a 72 year old pensioner ? Surely not, he is such a nice guy??

So I then called Velux to ask their advice and they gave me a list of their authorised installers. I called three of them, The most expensive quote was £280 and the cheapest was £150 so I thought at the sort of money I have nothing to loose, the guy came out from Preston,replaced the guttering around the window took him about 3 hours paid him cash and havent had a problem since, that was 18 months ago.

So the moral of this story is, by all means use this outfit, but make sure you get other quotes before going ahead, as there is not a problem with their workmanship, just Peters calculator that seems to have a mind of its own !!
Hence the 2 star rating.
No doubt , he will come back on here and say he didnt give me a quote in the first place, but I have kept a copy of his email.
