John Cooper founded J.W Cooper Joinery in 1984, basing his business in the centre of the village of Rustington, West Sussex. His reputation for providing high quality joinery soon spread, and the business continued to grow, along with his Team. His son Phil joined him straight from School in 1986 as an Apprentice, and later took full control of the business from 2000 when John decided to retire.

Phil is proud to employ a select group of qualified Tradesmen, all experts in their field, to provide the finest quality service, materials and finishes to Homeowners and Businesses.

CNC Timber Machining Service
Our high precision 5 Axis CNC machine cuts wood to any size & shape, in small & large volumes. Using CAD data (provided by you or designed by us in-house) our 5 Axis CNC machine can quickly and accurately produce complex wooden parts in almost any size and shape, in small and large quantities. We understand the need for high precision, speed and repeatability and our CNC machine enables us to produce custom wooden pieces to exact specifications for manufacturing companies, architects, builders & private customers.

Windows
We have been chosen for many traditional door and window projects, working on existing properties needing replacement windows, New-Builds and Grade II Listed Buildings. Our knowledge of the Planning Application Systems with regards to Older Properties is invaluable, ensuring that your new windows will be both in keeping, and permitted under Planning Rules.

Doors
Your Entrance Door says so much about your home. The beauty of asking us to make your new door is you know it will be unique, a beautiful first impression for your Guests, and a magnificent welcome. In this world of composite & plastic doors, why not stand out from the crowd and have your External Doors made by Craftsmen, using natural products, that will be in keeping with your home.

Anything is possible, and we would be delighted to take the time to discuss your ideas, the various types of timber, styles and glazing available. We are able to offer double glazed doors, with various thicknesses of glazing, to suit both modern and older properties.

Staircases
We can add flair to your Home with a bespoke Staircase, made to legal dimensions & specifications, even ones suited for tight-fit areas! Our staircases can be built to match the existing, or a completely different staircase can be designed.

Our Craftsmen are able to make your Furniture either free standing or fitted, in natural wood, finished to a wax, stain, varnish or full Factory Painted Finish, or alternatively we can create your furniture in prefinished with the best quality edgings and materials.
