The work on Hanover Street will see the Victorian cast-iron gas mains replaced with plastic mains to resolve a number of historic leaks on the main, and an ongoing leak at the junction with Seel Street.

The aim of the project is to replace all cast-iron gas mains between Bold Street and Duke Street.
Hanover Street will be closed for approximately eight weeks, with access maintained along the closed section for businesses in the Liverpool One and Ropewalks area.
