Wates Appoints New Building Services Director

Construction News Image
Wates Construction has appointed Jason Knights to the newly created role of Building Services Director to spearhead the delivery of a new customer offer around building services currently being piloted in the London construction business.

Previously the Operations Director at MACE, Jason will drive forward the strategic alliances already in place with Imtech-Meica and Emcor in the London region. He will also be supporting customers in managing their energy consumption, to meet legislation and future energy constraints.

Jason commented: "Wates is focused on delivering against the more for less agenda for its customers and we believe long term, mature alliances with carefully selected building services companies can help us to achieve exactly that. Simple ideas like sharing space in our Head Office and seconding senior people between organisations are already making a big contribution to improved working practices, the removal of traditional fragmentation, mistrust and commercial inefficiencies.

"Hard partnering solutions with aspirational KPIs and transparent productivity measurement are already resulting in clear competitive advantage that can be passed through to our Customers. We know this strategy can demonstrate improved value for money in every building."
