UK HPI Published For Nov 2017

The UK House Price Index (UK HPI) for November 2017 has been published, revealing house price changes for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Published today, 16 January, the data for November shows that, on average, house prices have risen by 0.1% since October 2017. Furthermore, there was an annual price rise of 5.1%, taking the average property in the UK to £226,071.

The data for England reveals that house prices have risen by 0.1% since October 2017, with an annual price rise of 5.3%, bringing the average property value to £243,339.

The West Midlands experienced the greatest rise in average property price over the last 12 months with an increase of 7.2%, while the North West experienced the greatest monthly price rise, (1/4%).

Elsewhere, the North East and London saw the lowest annual price rise, both up by 2.3%, with the North East recording the most significant monthly price fall (down by 1%).

According to the most up-to-date HM Land Registry sales figures available, the number of completed house sales in September 2017 fell by 14.8% to 64,812 compared with 76,114 in September 2016.

Looking at London, meanwhile, house prices have fallen by 0.9% since October 2017, while an annual price rise of 2.3% takes the average property value to £481,915.

The most up-to-date HM Land Registry sales figures available for London also revealed that the number of completed house sales in September 2017 fell by 21.5% to 6,494 compared with 8,275 in September 2016.
