Charlie is amazing. He’s a very warm and friendly chap and an excellent workman. We needed a refitted shower room and Charlie guided us through the process expertly. He has loads of patience and will revisit again and again to make sure you are happy with your decisions. He will then throw a wee, but welcome, spanner in the works by showing you something new to consider. He really makes you think about what you want, which ensures you get it absolutely right. We now have the most wonderful wet room, with details we hadn’t thought about in the early discussions. We are so happy with the result.
Charlie is so clean and tidy and a real grafter. The other trades he brought in for minor work were similarly excellent.
In these days of such unreliability with some tradesmen (we tried to get quotes before we found Charlie) it is great to leave the transformation of part of your home in the capable hands of someone who knows exactly what they are doing. That’s Charlie!

I would absolutely recommend Charlie Cowie to anyone who wants a beautiful bathroom installed by someone who is reliable and has extremely high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
Charlie spends as much time as is necessary to ascertain what the customer wants. His own advice was also very much appreciated and helpful when making decisions.
Everything was also costed at the start with no surprises as the job progressed.
Nothing was too much trouble and great care was also taken to cover carpets etc when bringing items and tools into the house and all rubbish was removed quickly. The work area was always left tidy too.
I can honestly say that it was a pleasure having someone like Charlie working in my home and if I need a new kitchen in the future I know who will be doing it too.
Once again, Charle is a gentleman I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone considering a new bathroom or kitchen.

Excellent artisan finish to a small bathroom that now elevates the house.
Charlie has been great to deal with and the overall work and finish to the bathroom, is of the highest level.
Considering the unprecedented times we are in and the actual work was scheduled literally the same time as lockdown kicked in, liaising with Charlie during the early parts of lockdown to discuss when we could complete was easy to do over email or phone. With these times we are in, meant vacating the house for 2 weeks so that Charlie could complete the works. This ended up working really as it allowed Charlie to crack on without interruption.
Even during the install, we made tweaks here and there to overall layout and finish of the bathroom, using facetime and photos of updates each day of the install, this again was so helpful and easy to do.
Overall, Charlie has been great to have complete the works, I would recommend to anyone local to the area and certainly envisage having Charlie complete further works to the house in the future.

Another outstanding transformation from Charlie Cowie
Charlie has now renovated our bathroom, en-suite shower room and kitchen and we are thrilled with all three rooms. We had a limited budget for the kitchen but Charlie has transformed it so that it looks like a new kitchen, putting in a range cooker, matching hood and splashback, a black sink (stunning) and microwave and an ivory coloured German worktop which resembles marble but has none of the maintenance problems and also has an invisible seam (unlike marble). We kept the original oak cupboards and Charlie's brainwave was to leave an unused cupboard without a door but with the matching worktop inside so we can use it for our Krupps coffee maker and mugs - inspirational. His eye for detail and flair for design has given us a new kitchen at a fraction of the cost.

Another stunning designer bathroom by Charlie Cowie
We were so pleased with our en-suite shower room which was done by Charlie Cowie in the early spring that we decided to go ahead and upgrade our bathroom too. And the wait was well worth it! We now have a simply stunning, beautifully designed and crafted bathroom. We told Charlie the look we wanted and his suggestions and careful workmanship led to a completely unique, designer bathroom which is just beautiful and more importantly, exactly what we wanted. Charlie engineered the units himself to fit the available space and the joinery, tiling and plumbing were faultless. My bathroom needed total refurbishment. I had several quotes, but as soon as Charlie came to discuss the refurbishment with me, I knew that he was the right person for the job. The whole bathroom needed to be gutted and rebuilt - ceiling, walls, shower, bath, woodwork and floor.
Charlie's attention to detail was extraordinary, and he was extremely helpful and insightful in guiding me to give the bathroom the look I wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he did all the work himself from start to finish - except flooring, which he was happy to arrange and oversee. I found him thoroughly professional, reliable, meticulous and conscientious. He worked very hard to get the work done in the agreed time and was also very respectful of my home.

A Bathroom requiring modernising and desperately in need of redecoration!
Needing work done, I was recommended Charlie from another tradesman.
Charlie was able to give me a quote for planned work and fittings within a few days and a time frame to start work a week later.
Work consisted of ripping out all the old fittings and legacy pipework, followed by replumming pipework with isolation valves,new fittings and wetwalls.
We had a slight issue with the isolation of the water due to the slightly unique plumbing which resulted in a small water leak in my loft. Discovered quickly, the water was cleared up immediately and dehumidifiers were provided removing the remaining dampness by the end of the day.
There was good work done fitting straight, level and square fittings into an area that had curved walls!
I was pleased at the rate of work and dedication to detail Charlie showed. The end product reflects this and I would be more than happy to recommend him to anyone wishing to rejuvenate a bathroom.

We were looking to have our bathroom renovated and were lucky enough to find Charlie! From the very outset we found Charlie to be very focused and interested in ideas to do the job. From helping pick materials and help with design i cannot fault Charlie. He ordered all the material and kept it for us until he was ready to start. His work is of a very high standard and his attention to detail second to none i would have no hesitation to have him back to do any work in future and recommend him to anyone!
