Gray & McDonnell Ltd was founded in 1947 as mirror manufacturers supplying to the furniture industry in the east end of London.

The company grew and in 1979 formed Glass Designs Ltd which had a retail shop and its own processing works supplying glass mirrors and an installation services to both the trade and retail customers.

Since then the industry has changed beyond recognition and Glass Design Ltd prides itself on always being at the forefront of developments, while still keeping some of the traditional skills to meet the demands of their long standing customers.

The GD antique range has 6 unique products, along with our 3 standard stock antique range. All products in-house by hand or by machine depending on the type of antique mirror required.

Estimating
Our team of estimators are on hand to ask you all the right questions about your glass requirements, and our aim is to provide you with a written quotation within 24 hours of receiving your enquiry.

Tailored Glass Manufacturing
Glass Designs make all of your glass to order, combining glass and a variety of finishes and processes to the agreed specification therefore we operate both fixed and variable lead times which depend on the product required, the volume, and prevailing workload.

Survey & Installation
We provide a full survey and installation service to the contract kitchen, washroom and joinery sectors throughout London and the Home Counties.

Delivery & Logistics
We also offer timed deliveries to cater for those projects with specific unloading requirements. We offer a lay-on service if tailboard delivery will not be appropriate. Products requiring a lay-on service, such as large table tops, will require to be quoted and agreed before the glass is sent to site, and may be subject to a site survey to assess the route that the glass is to take.

Glass Designs is a member of the GGF. The GGF promotes best practice and sets the highest technical and health & safety standards. The Federation is also the voice of the industry in local and national politics helping shape and influence policy and legislation.
