About Fluid Stone Studio
Fluid Stone Studio specialises in the art of concrete design. Concrete is increasingly being used as the material for design expression. Most designers consider polished concrete to be as beautiful and practical as natural material. It is extremely versatile and can be utilised in a variety of living or commercial spaces, from urban chic to rustic farmhouse.
Polished concrete has a particularly tactile character, which combines the warm earthiness of stone with a silky-smooth quality. This has to be experienced first-hand in order to appreciate its natural appeal. The natural colour variations that occur during the fabrication process result in the finished piece having an earthy and organic appearance, which tends to integrate effortlessly with surrounding areas. Polished concrete is both durable and yet beautiful making it the perfect match for modern design.
Fluid Stone Studio is owned and run by Nathan Jones, an experienced carpenter who developed a passion for working with this versatile material. He utilises his carpentry skills to enable him to create complex shapes and forms using a wide and varied source of materials including fibreglass, plaster, rubber, timber and various plastics. Nathan now runs his own studio in Rhos-on-sea, North Wales, where he creates and crafts unique and custom-made polished concrete products.
Extensive testing and sampling of different concrete mix designs have been carried out in order to ensure a high strength and durable product for your next commercial or residential project.
All our products are custom designed and handcrafted to provide you with unique and individual surroundings. Using innovative new casting techniques we have the capacity to mould this ancient material to fit anywhere throughout your home or business. Whether it be a bespoke bathroom vanity or a contemporary kitchen worktop, each piece is individually crafted to your personal specification. An extensive range of colours and finishes are also available to suit your personal taste.
