About Axalta Coating Systems UK
Axalta Coating Systems Huthwaite UK Ltd. was founded in Aberdeen in 1909, manufacturing industrial coatings for the Scottish shipbuilding and fishing industries. We established our reputation for high quality and durable products by ensuring vessels could take on the challenging environment of the Atlantic and the North Sea.
In 2012 the manufacturing, R&D and technical service functions were relocated from Aberdeen to a purpose-built factory in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. From this central location we are well placed to service the UK, Ireland and many export territories. The company’s registered office is still located in Aberdeen, which also serves as a stocking branch and retains R&D and technical support for the offshore sector.
We also have a depot in Belfast where we operate a full sales and technical service operation for customers in Northern Ireland and Eire.
In 2015, the production facilities, extensive R&D laboratories and sales office at West Bromwich were added to the organisation. Shortly afterwards, Axalta Coating Systems Tewkesbury UK Ltd. also became part of the group.

Axalta Coating Systems Huthwaite UK Ltd. is based at our manufacturing site in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. We supply a wide range of high performance coatings to markets including ACE, general industrial, modular buildings, Protective Coatings, heavy duty and floor coatings. We are UK market leaders in electricity Transmission Tower paints. We also supply the specialist pipe coatings market worldwide with our ‘Corroless ACO’ range of solvent free, high performance two pack polyurethanes.
