Cautionary Advice
If your project requires planning approval (some don't) it can take up to ten weeks after the plans are prepared and submitted. If you wish to build in the spring and summer, consider getting your plans drawn in the winter. To discuss whether your project requires planning approval, simply give us a call.

• Building Regulations approval will be required for all projects, and can take up to six weeks for full approval. However, other options are available- call 07977 190 903 to discuss these.
• Always get more than one quote for your architect's/designer's fees, and ask for a breakdown of what they propose to provide for the fee.
• Ensure your appointed architect/designer carries Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) for your own protection and peace of mind. Always request evidence of this- no registered professional will object to this.
• Ensure your proposed "professional" is what they say they are- check with the Architects Registration Board for all Architects practising in the UK and some abroad.
• Always ask your proposed architect/designer for a sample of their work, so you can be sure what you're getting for your money.
• It is advisable to consult an architect/designer before appointing a builder to carry out any work. Good design doesn't need to cost the earth with CSB Architectural Design Ltd.
