About Flaxton Forge
Welcome to Flaxton Forge
Tom Heys is an Artist blacksmith who studied at York College, gaining an HND in design crafts, before working for a well respected blacksmith in the North of England.
In 2005, he set up Flaxton Forge with a fellow blacksmith, undertaking all aspects of ironwork from small individual pieces, sculptures, ornate gates and railings to much larger projects including plenty of renovation work under the supervision of architects.
Tom has now moved Flaxton Forge into purpose built premises at Beechlea, Cross Lane, Flaxton. From here he carries on the same business, combining traditional forging skills with fabrication work to produce a wide variety of ironwork at prices to suit all pockets.
Tom has a natural artistic ability which he puts to good use in his designs and forge work, producing work of a high standard. He can also work to a commission and offer suggestions at the design stage to ensure that customers are entirely satisfied with the results. Tom is happy to quote for any job, large or small, to create a unique hand-crafted piece of ironwork.
