About Hallmark Blinds Ltd

Energy Efficient Solar Shading
We are manufacturers of a wide range of blinds for the contract market but specialise in products for more unusual applications. We are active members of our trade association The British Blind and Shutter Association, and abide by the Code of Conduct required of all members. We are also suppliers to the trade of components for our specialist products through our associated company Blind Trade Supplies Ltd, www.blindtradesupplies.co.uk.

Hemara External Roller Blinds
External shading is essential to prevent overheating in low energy and passive house buildings. Hemara external blinds do that, reducing the load from solar gain by up to 90%, a significant cost saving. Stopping the gain before it reaches the glass is more energy efficient than paying to remove it.

Hemara blinds have a compact aluminium top box and neat side guides or cables that retain the weighted bottom bar. The mesh screen material allows outward vision and control of daylight.

Although they can be manually operated from within the building for ease and convenience Hemara blinds are motorised. For optimum energy saving they should be automatically controlled to react to varying weather conditions and can be linked to a Building or Home Management System.

Façade 125 external shading
Preventing the need for energy use for cooling is more effective than making plant more efficient. Façade 125 with mesh material does that, reducing the load from solar gain by up to 90%, a significant cost saving. Stopping the gain before it reaches the glass is more energy efficient than paying to remove it. Allowing heat gains in winter maximises the benefit of free energy from the sun.
Unlike most building components, Façade 125 shading saves a multiple in CO2 emissions of those created throughout its lifecycle, a true Nega-energy solution. It is the insulation of the transparent parts.

A sustainable statement on your building - that is Façade 125. The substantial stainless steel cables and the aluminium cross sections become a structural feature. The mesh fabric with vibrant colour or muted tones gives control of heat, light and glare and as well as a clear view out.

Thermal and visual comfort for the occupant, an effective yet attractive solution.

Techtonic PV Non-retractable louvre blinds with integrated power supply
Techtonic PV takes free energy from the sun as a power source to harness that same energy reducing solar gain and controlling light and thus saving energy.

Techtonic PV comes with an in-built radio receiver that can be activated by battery operated wall switch or hand held controller.

For the most energy efficient operation it can be interfaced with building or home management controls and sensors

Nega Energy is an aspiration beyond Zero Energy and Techtonic PV is one of the few products that can achieve it.
Roller XXL is a textile Roller Blind system designed for large areas of glass found mainly in commercial buildings. Operation is normally motorised but it can be manually controlled with a gearbox and winding handle.

XXL is a heavy duty system fabricated from material and fabrics designed for external use and whilst normally applied internally it can be used both inside and outside with size limitations.

It is particularly effective in Double Screen Facades where the inner core is exposed to the elements for natural ventilation. The solar gain properties between the façade are almost comparable to an external shade with Gtot figures better than 0.15 (85% heat rejection) for many fabric styles and colours.

Hemara Markisolette
External shading is essential to prevent overheating in low energy and passive house buildings. Hemara Markisollette awnings do that, reducing the load from solar gain by up to 90%, a significant cost saving. Stopping the gain before it reaches the glass is more energy efficient than paying to remove it.
