James Gilbert & Son are the oldest and one of the largest manufacturers of decorative grilles in Great Britain. We offer the widest range of hand made decorative meshes at the most competitive prices. We still manufacture from our original premises in West London and can also offer CNC wire forming, laser cutting services, security grilles, and engineering facilities.

Established by James Gilbert in 1881, the business originally concentrated on weaving wire for sieves, security guards, screens, bird cages and decorative wire furniture. The daughter of James Gilbert inherited the business from her brother in 1937. Her husband Tony Wareham then took over. In the 1980's the focus moved to woven brass.

In 2005 Giles Blunden took over and with his investments he has brought the company firmly into the 21st century. Whilst continuing to manufacture the woven mesh he has broadened the company's capabilities and product base and increased the output to work on larger projects such as the latest James Bond films.

Now celebrating our 127th year James Gilbert & Son are proud to be expanding again.
