About G & T Training Services
G & T Training Services are located in Devon and managed Gavin Abbott.
We are in our 10th trading year and still confident about our future and we are proud at the reputation we have built up within the Construction and Industrial sectors and have worked for many of the large construction companies who have change from CPCS to NPORS since being officially recognised by the UKCG in 2014.
All training & testing is still carried out at your site using your equipment with as little disruption to your works as possible which keeps costs down and makes us more competitive.
We carry out various types of Construction Plant Operator Training or Assessment and indeed Industrial Operatives all over the country for the small independent enterprises, to the larger well known companies - if we cannot do it ourselves we will arrange to deliver the training through other quality organisations and accredited trainers.
G & T Training Services offer a friendly helpful service and advice to everyone, and will cost or advise the best possible route to achieve your training objectives with no obligations; we are able to help save you money and make courses cost-effective, helping you train the most amount of people in the least amount of time.
We are an NPORS Accredited Training Provider which means we offer practical solutions to training at a fraction of the cost to other brands. NPORS accreditation offers you on site assessment, more practical testing in the real work environment and at a fraction of the cost of the industry norm.

G&t have to say very happy with the training I received was absolutely anal over all topics for 360 dumper roller made sure I had enough knowledge to use all of these mechines safely.would definitely recommend g&t mans 100% & prices arent to bad either.

I used G&T to carry out assessments on a number of staff members and items of plant equipment (excavator and dumper).
They turned up as promised and carried out the job with no fuss until completion.

The first time we used GT Training Services they supplied FLT training at very short notice. This was delivered as part of a training package during a redundancy consultation period.
Delivering training in such a situation requires the trainer to be a skilled 'people person' and this was evident throughout.
We have used GT Training services on numerous occasions since and have been very well satisfied with the service received and the quality of training delivered.

NPORS/CSCS
NPORS / CSCS Construction Plant Operator Card:
New Entrant:
Basic training and testing undertaken and Trained Operator Card issued valid for 2 years from date of test. During this period the operator will be required to register for and achieve the (S)NVQ relevant to the categories held on their Trained Operator Card. Also the operator logbook will need to be completed and validated. Once achieved the operator can apply for the Competent Operator Card valid for 5 years from date of application.
Existing NPORS Card Holders:
Existing NPORS card holders will be given the opportunity to apply for a transitional card. If the operator does not hold the relevant (S)NVQ for the categories held on their operator card they will be issued with the Trained Operator Card valid for 2 years from date of application. They will be required to follow the same process as a new entrant.
If the operator holds the relevant (S)NVQ for the categories held on their operator card they can apply for the Competent Operator Card valid for 5 years from the date of application.
When will the new process begin?
For new entrants to the scheme the new process will begin on 1st October 2016 for notified training / testing.
