Academy Fireplaces Dublin is a retail outlet for both genuine antique and reproduction fireplaces. We are a family run business; based in Michael Duffy Antiques, 10 Parnell St Dublin 1. Our family have been dealing in fireplaces and antique furniture since 1947 where we first set up shop on Ormond Quay before moving to Parnell St. in 1961.

During this this time we have amassed an outstanding reputation for excellence, experience, personal service and value for money with fireplaces to suit every price point and taste.

Academy Fireplaces supply and fit a wide range of fireplaces throughout Dublin and the greater Leinster area. Completed projects include the restoration and fitting of antique fireplaces for buildings of significant historic importance throughout Ireland.

Academy Fireplaces specialise in the extraction, restoration and fitting of antique fireplaces throughout the greater Dublin and Leinster area.

We buy these period pieces from our customers and then get to work on restoring them with the skill set that can only come from nearly 30 years of experience in fireplace restoration. We’ll replace or repair damaged hearths, replace fireback’s, tile frets whilst restore the fireplace with care and precision.

After nearly 70 years in business, Academy Fireplaces have mastered our craft of antique fireplace restoration. We’re passionate about maintaining this legacy and we specialise in the delicate process of restoring these fireplaces to their former glory.

We offer a full extraction and restoration service and specialise in all types of projects as well as brass register grates.

We also retro-fit slate hearths where tiled ones have been broken or damaged from heat. No job is too small.
