JELD-WEN aspires to be the industry leader in environmentally responsible practices and products. We have committed ourselves to more sustainable business practices and environmental stewardship. This affects every aspect of our organisation and governs our approach to energy efficiency, air and water emissions and indoor air quality.

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected externally by the development of more environmentally beneficial products. To achieve this we have adopted policies for recycled materials and renewable energy, and increasingly source all our materials from sustainable sources.

All our employees are committed to ensuring that we comply with, or exceed, environmental and human welfare laws. We strive to live up to the principles of our corporate responsibility every day - both in our products and in our actions.

We have a sustainable, renewable timber sourcing policy and are extremely proud to have received FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council™) and PEFC multi-site chain of custody certifications both dedicated to promoting the responsible forest management.

We operate across four factories - our head office and door production facility in Sheffield, two factories in Melton Mowbray (one that is dedicated to timber windows and patio door frames and one that is the largest volume production facility for timber stairs in the UK), and also our Penrith factory, which specialises in the manufacture of veneered, foil and moulded internal doors.

With a dedicated focus on developing, producing and marketing solutions for every market segment we are living our most important value - reliability.

For this reason we are marketing our products with the promise of "RELIABILITY for real life". Our commitment to reliability is being on time, on site, undamaged and complete.

HISTORY
In 1999 JELD-WEN Inc., the privately owned worldwide joinery manufacturer, purchased the former John Carr and Boulton & Paul companies from the Rugby Group to form JELD-WEN UK Ltd. Since the purchase JELD-WEN is making its mark on the UK and aims to be the market leader of choice for doors, windows, and stairs.

JELD-WEN USA
In 1960, JELD-WEN began as just a small Oregon millwork plant with 15 employees. During those early days, we established a culture based on inspired vision, thoughtful planning and diligent craftsmanship. This culture has helped us become a well respected company with over 150 divisions and more than 20,000 employees worldwide.
